1. Who we are

OptOutReady provides compliance operations services to data brokers: running the DROP deletion cycle, multi-state registration filings, and audit-readiness recordkeeping, under the direction of your own counsel. We are not a law firm. Nothing on this site, and nothing we deliver, is legal advice, and neither using this site nor engaging our services creates an attorney-client relationship of any kind.

2. Services

The specific services performed for a given client, and the scope of that work, are described in that client's engagement letter, not on this website. Content on this site, including the guides, the self-test, and the pricing tiers, is general information for evaluation purposes only. It is not an offer, and it does not substitute for the terms of an executed engagement letter.

3. No guarantee of regulatory outcome

Our services are designed to support your compliance efforts under California's Delete Act and related state data-broker laws. They do not guarantee any particular regulatory outcome. You remain the regulated party under those laws and are responsible for your own compliance obligations, including determinations that belong to your counsel, such as whether you are a data broker, and which exemptions apply to your business.

4. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability arising from your use of this website. Any liability connected to services performed for a paying client is limited to what is set out in that client's engagement letter, including any applicable liability cap, exclusion of consequential damages, and the remedy for a missed cycle.

5. Intellectual property

The content on this site (including text, guides, and design) belongs to OptOutReady. You are welcome to quote it with attribution. You may not republish it wholesale or represent it as your own.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

7. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time as the business or the underlying law changes. Continued use of this site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
